ABOUT MORGAN ADIA CRUMBLY
Morgan Crumbly (she/her) is a storyteller at heart — a journalist, singer, published playwright, and Suzi Bass-nominated actor based in Atlanta, GA. A proud graduate of Spelman College with a BA in Theater & Performance, Morgan is passionate about how art can move people, shift culture, and advocate for the voices too often left out of the spotlight.
Her work — onstage, on set, and on the page — is rooted in a mission to expand access and representation in the arts, especially for women, queer/genderqueer folks, and BIPOC communities. That mission has led her to wide-ranging roles in theater and film, including performing in the world premiere of Millions at the Alliance Theatre, directed by Bartlett Sher with a creative team led by Bob Martin and Adam Guettel. It also led her behind the scenes, working as a production assistant on Sister Salad Days — winner of Best Short at the 2025 Atlanta Film Festival — and stepping into the role of assistant director for Much Ado About Nothing with Newnan Shakes, a nonprofit that brings free Shakespeare to rural Georgia audiences.
Morgan achieved a longtime dream in 2025 when her play Self-Tape Phobia was published in Ghost City Review, adding “published playwright” to a list of creative credits that continues to grow. As a performer, she’s appeared with theaters like Actor’s Express, Synchronicity Theatre, the Alliance Theatre, Art Farm at Serenbe, and even graced the stage at New York’s 54 Below. She’s currently looking to build on these experiences and connect with mission-driven arts and media organizations — especially those invested in equity, culture-shifting storytelling, and the transformative power of the creative process.
